Title: $50 robot - PICAXE programming
Post by: frodo on December 02, 2008, 11:01:58 AM
hi, i'm new to robots and really want to build the $50 robot but I live in England. Someone has put an English price list on but I wondered if I could use a PICAXE chip because they are more available and I have the PICAXE programming software. Could someone tell me please if it is possible for me to program using PICAXE?

you could make a photovore with the PICAXE but the tutorial will not help you at all
it is only for the ATmega

An AVR is way better than a PICAXE, its only $3 + shipping, and the software is free.

Is saving $3 worth all the frustration of not having a tutorial to help you out when you're stuck? :P
