Is the ATmega8 AVR chip(for the $50 robot) meant to have on the front *atmel* 0444G ATmega8-16PI,is this the right one?

are they both the same chip,just different names?i did type in ATmega 8 into google and a site with the chip came up,which had that name on the front of the chip?it might not have been the right one,but who knows?bloody google lol
