L298 SOIC connections.

I just got 3 L@98 Motor Drivers as a free sample and I was stuck with the SOIC version. Now, how the heck do I connect the L298 pins to my breadboard? Any ideas or maybe is there some type of soic to dip adapter???



( i guess i'll try bending them to make it look like DIP in the meantime......)

oh, are there any DIP motor drivers out there that I can get as a free sample? ( from TI, Maxim, ST, or any others)
all the ones I searched for ( like the L293) are unavailable for sampling.

Yeh, u gotta watch what they give out as free samples... most are moving to giving out the Surface Mounted components...

You can find many companies that make adapters... I'm a big fan of SparkFun.com, so I try to buy from them whenever possible... they have them for a few dollars each... chech out the bottom of this page: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/categories.php?cPath=20

Make sure that adapter doesnt cost more than new L298 in DIP
