Title: THE SPURTBOTS?ARE THEY GOOD ANYONE TRIED THEM.

WHICH ONE WOULD YOU SUGGEST E TO USE THE FIRST ONE(REFLECTIVE SENSOR) OR THE SECOND ONE(LDR)
AND ARE THEY GOOD WITH 90 DEGREE TURNS AND ARE THEY GOOD FOR COMPETITIONS.

Both robots work on the same principle: one motor is on all the time, other motor works only when LDR/Photo-transistor in on white surface. If You post competition track map, we, probably, would be able to tell if these followers are suitable.

I don't see why it shouldn't work. If follower is going clock-wise - place it on the outer edge of black line, if follower is going counter-clock-wise - place it on the inner edge of black line.

Thanks alot its an emrgency as i lost my l293d($40 dollar robot)the competition is next week monday so now the big QUESTION is
1)LDR vs REFLECTIVE SENSOR(QRD1114) which is the best choice

2)WHICH IS THE BEST CONIG

I think that IR Emitter/Detector pair is superior to LDR in this application, as it is immune to light other than IR.

thanks,can i use a pcb instead of a posicle and tires instead of a bearing.
