hey robot clan,
having a go at a first robot. Couldn't get the at mega8 in Oz but got the at mega32 instead. I want to use it for the $50 robot. I had a go ath matshing the pins.
1. Is the at mega32 16Pu a suitable replacement for the at mega8?
2. Please confirm if my pin match is OK.
3. Any other hints. I know i probably have to change code but not up to that yet.
Cheers

I am yet to go through your pin match. What does 'pin match mean?'
Atmega32 is an 8bit microcontroller like atmega8. Just the difference is that it has 32 bits of programmable flash and the pin layout. The pin layout is given clearly in the datasheet. You just need to connect it properly.

Just trying to line it up with the tutorial. Learning more from tutorials so not such an issue now.
Have since bought an axon 2 so will get back to assembling this after playing with new toy.
Thanks anyway
