Last year i bought a Greenlee DM-20 as a nice budget multimeter. It has worked flawlessly up until last week. All the options work on it except the DC voltage check. When i connect a 1.5v or a 9v battery to it, it reads 0 everytime. I have tested new batteries and old and i HAVE replaced the battery in the multimeter for a new one.
All of the other functions work, like AC voltage, resistance and Diode checking. Its just the DC test that fails.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem? And if so, how do you fix it other than returning the product?
