very nice

I am curious to know how much money and time you spent on developing this robot. Care to share?
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!

I am curious to know how much money and time you spent on developing this robot. Care to share?

Its our 2nd generation robot, so we spend around 1.5 year to finish the 1st gen robot, and then we spend around 6 months to finish the 2nd gen robot.

About the cost, it will depend on what the manufacturing method we choose.

Thanks,
Cyrus

Do you plan on giving it grippers or hands at the end of the arms? Currently it looks like youve spent a lot of money developing moving arms but terminated them in big blobs of plastic so they can serve no functional use.

They look good though and are probably used as an aid in communicating. It would be good to see tour guides like these in use on the streets and in big department stores/ hospitals etc...

Thanks for the comments, in actually we are working for the next generation general purpose robot that can be used in tour guide, home assistant and etc.
The hands will be added in next gen robot.

Currently, Upitor is aimed at the communicating in public service, like libaray, hostpital and exhibition. We will let this robot move into production and cost down to around US$9999.
