You need 10 onions, a mouse's brain, and a LOT of distilled water(it helps electrical impulses from the brain not influence the servos in a bad way)

Mash up 5 onions in a tray, and put the mouse brain in them, mash up the other 5 and mix with distilled water, put those OVER the brain, now, the onions with water go on top, and the normal ones on the bottom.

Next time you turn it on, it should work.  :D

Now srsly,
You must spend hours of programming.
And what do you mean by personality?

A face would be the most important part for personality.

If you just mean to give the illusion of taught i.e. expressions like a human then I think that the most important features would be some form of eye brows along with a mouth. Here, ERWIN - Emotional Robot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YqcxKeTkk0,#) is a very simple idea of expressions, they aren't fantastic but they do the job.

This one, MIT's Nexi MDS Robot: First Test of Expression (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrmrU7P-ysA&feature=related,#) is a more advanced type of robot but the idea is the same. The features of the face which are used to give the illusion are the mouth and eye brows.

Is that what you were asking or was that a ridiculous tangent I went off on there?

I remember reading on this site someone who did the same thing.  I think it was admin with one of his bots... But if I remember correctly, if the robot was excited, it would speed up and rush around the room.  If it was sad, then it would be slow and sluggish.  If it was friendly, it would approach noise, scared it would run away and stick to the walls.  And if it was bored, it would randomly switch between emotions.
