How do you create a hand's framework?
« on: October 08, 2012, 07:25:03 PM »
I'm trying to figure out where to get the metal finger tubes for my hands.  How can I get a hold of the links without having to our my own in a clay mold using my welding torch?

Can You buy a pipe and cut it to required lengths?

That's a good idea.  I like that and yes I could.  I never thought about using half of a pipe.  I kept thinking about a squared piece of material, but a half pipe will make it easier to put the latex over it.  Thanks.

I saw this article and I think I'll make fingers with steel rods and create a pulley system using Dyneema like they did.  Hopefully someone else finds this helpful, too.
