Hello everyone,
It might sound stupid but I am having hard time to understand the difference between servo, non-servo, stepper and digital servo motors. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hope someone answers because pretty soon I have an exam.

Thanks in advance.

  • It's not a bug, it's a feature!

When you say "non-servo" are you indicating a regular DC motor?

For servo motors, I recommend going here :http://www.societyofrobots.com/actuators_servos.shtml

For stepper motors, this would be a good link : http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/120

Hope this clears some things up!

I am confused with Servo (AC or DC), Stepper and Digital servo.
How are they different?
