hi !
im new here and this is my first post
i should say that i want to make my first robot and i want a robot for sensing fire.i want to know that wht kind of sensor should i use for sensing temperture.

thanks

why do u need a robot that senses fire if its just going to sense then wats the use of a robot , yes if u need heat sensors on a robot to do a specific job then its ok

i want a robot for sensing fire, then go to the near of fire and then turn down the fire.did u get it?!  ::) srry i forget its name in english.
i mean smth like line tracer.i know in line tracer there is a sensor that can sense the line with the reflex of the light from the ground.now i want a robot for sensing and finding fire and i dont know wht should i do.can u help me?! please its so important  :-\

it's called a fire truck

anyway you might be able to adapt a photovore algritum it work it heat sensors

yes photovore may work but how the hell are u going to put out the fire is ur bot going to carry water and a pump

if yes then u have got quite a hell of a job to do especially powering those pumps

Do a Google search for Fire Fighting Robot. There are several comp's accross the states and I assume this is what you are trying to do.

carrying water and pump ,made it very hard?! u havent any ideas about it?! its like smth impossible?!

i find smth about photovore on this site, but it is based on photo resistor and infrared, sensors that will work for line tracing and im not sure that this sensors can sense fire or not.r u sure? there isnt any other ways for sensing and finding fire?

Maybe a smoke sensor ?

Your looking for something like the TPA81 Thermal Sensor Array, which is pretty expensive (around $115).  Do a google search for suppliers.

For carrying and dispensing water you might want to look at the pumps used in water cooling computer systems.  I would imagine one could be hacked with an H-Bridge or ESC to turn it on and off as needed.

Also pond pumps. They have plenty of 6V and 12V low currant pumps that can shoot water straight up a couple of feet.

i dont know, but i dont think that carrying pump is that hard,i think i can find smth small and good for carrying.
my 1st and biggest problem is sensing that fire.im not sure that smoke works or not but a sensitive sensor for sensing heat or light can work.all heat and light sensors that i know are havnt that quality and ability for sensing fire from distance.i should search more about it  ::)

i also have another idea,i mean one of my friends told me look for the tecnologi of infrared cams.it can work but i think it is too expensive.do u know smth about infrared cams?

no one here doesnt work in this field?i mean that there isnt anybody that made smth fire fighter???

thanks
