Title: Just a quick question
Post by: FyerEgg on October 18, 2008, 07:12:04 PM
I was looking at the $50 robot, and I was wandering, why is the circuit board so planned out? Can't you just put the male headers anywhere you like? I know the wires actually need to be attached to the correct thing, but cant you just put the Micro Controller anywhere on the board and not in the specific spots shown in the tutorial?

I think it was put that way so that people who had no experience at all could have a solid, set in stone way of doing to correctly. Some people might get lost if the instructions were to just "put it where you like"

Yea, anywhere you like will work.

My way is easier though :P

Plus, if you mess up, its easier to debug if you have a direct comparison.
