Title: shock or strut assembly
Post by: pacman411 on February 08, 2013, 07:23:53 AM
Hello all

I starting to get the pieces and part together for my robot. I am going to use a 4 wheel drive with each wheel having is own motor and gearhead attached to the wheel. Since speed in not going to be a question, I am going to use steering like on a tank or the mars rover just run the other wheel in a different direction. Since the robot will be mainly off road I need some help with a shock or strut assembly to keep the wheel on the ground. Any help in pointing me in the right direction will be welcome.

The Wikipedia articles on "double wishbone suspension" and "mcphearson strut suspension" are pretty good.
I recently researched the same thing, except with "real" steering on the front wheels.
