Title: $50 Robot Wire
Post by: RoBoTicS on November 11, 2008, 06:39:10 PM
I am pretty new to robotics and I had a question about the wire you use to connent the things together by soldering?  Will this type of wire work http://www.servocity.com/html/high-amp_wire.html

Thanks

You won't need high amp wire. Just get some hookup from Radioshack. like so http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049745

22-24 gauge multi-core wire would be your best best

-EDIT-
Just realized trumpkin show a link to 22 gauge wire. Sorry >_<

-EDIT-
Yeah the hookup wire is solid core meaning theres one strand. I find its easier to use multicore wire because theres a bunch of tiny strands which in my experience hold the solder a lot better and are more reliable connections... much like the way rebar works in concrete :)
