Understanding part specifications, ver2: 123 robot exprmts for the evil genuis

I was trying to perform chapter 11, assembling the included PCB.  Alas, I have little idea what the following parts even are:

*twenty four pin, 0.600 inch sockets
*PCB mount female 9-pin D-Shell Connector
*Single-row 32-pin PCB mount socket

 ???

I found an online picture of the PCB, slightly larger than the one in the book, but it did not help me much. I do not mean to have other people do the dirty work finding obscure parts for me, but as just heard of most of this stuff, like now, I thought a post justifiable.

And thanks for any help!

Cool, thanks!  Just for future reference: how does one find those parts with the search mechanism on Digi-key? 

I tried that.

I just know from experience. 1st Digikey catalog over 25 years ago...


Helps to be an engineer, too.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, you'll find that you will find a lot of useful stuff on digikey. Use the website along in tandem with the catalouge and it should help you.
