Is there a PonyProg2000-like program for x64 CPU's?

I'm making the $50 Robot and I'm in Part 4 at the part where we install PonyProg2000 (little past halfway down the page).  Trouble is that the install errors saying that it only installs on x86 CPU's whereas I have an x64 CPU.

Looking at PonyProg2000's download page, I'm guessing that it doesn't offer an x64 version though I'm new enough to not know what alternative I should look for.  Incase it's relevant, I went with the $34 AVR ISP2 Programmer.

PS-  The AVR ISP2 Programmer looks like it really should come with all the software necessary to use it, and I've got the CD that comes with it.  Would anyone happen to know if the CD might contain a solution and why we're using PonyProg2000 in the first place?

PPS-  I'm running Win7 Enterprise x64.

The question has just been rendered moot for me.  I just read the part of the tutorial which explains that the $34 programmer doesn't require PonyProg2000 since it can be programmed directly from AVR Studio.

If anyone happens to know the answer, though, it might still be useful to those who try installing PonyProg2000 in the future.

You should be able to run 32 bit applications on 64 bit platforms. Not the other way around though. Whoever reads this (as it doesn't apply to you anyway), should try running the app in compatibility mode.

Another option is virtualization. There a few free virtualization apps out there.
