Title: Need Help With Circuit Diagram
Post by: roylimyk on August 06, 2012, 08:13:16 AM
Hi,
I need a Circuit Diagram to Drive the following DC Motor.

3 Pole DC Motor
Operating Voltage : 6V ~ 72V
Speed RPM: 7500 ~8900
Current 0.7 ~ 7.5A

I need a circuit diagram to get the maximum juice out of this motor, by using 12V Batteries Source.

Or can you tell me how to get extra juice from a motor.

Thank You.

One circuit diagram (h-bridge) here.

Or, drawing my own(please forgive me if I get this wrong):

Hi,

I bet you missed a decimal point here ;)

You don't get "juice" out of a motor. "Juice" is slang for current and the motor takes it, rather than give it (unless you use it as a generator).

Driving a 7.2V motor from 12V, either use PWM and/or diodes or similar to drop the voltage - you can usually go around 25% above nominal voltage, provided you monitor the temperature (40°C max), so up to 9V might work. Temperature rise limits the lifetime of a DC motor.

3 Pole DC motor?
Is this a Brushless motor?
Link to the data sheet?

Hi,

Good catch waltr :)
That would be a bit more of a circuit then, but luckily there's quite a number of brushless controller chips to do the grunt work.

actually its a brushed motor...and like i said..its a 6v~72v..not a 7.2v...

the size of the car is abut 1 to 10 scale of a normal car..

Hi,

Yes, it IS 7.2V!! See my answer in the other thread.
From your photo, it looks like there's a gear box, but if you changed the motor...
Did you keep the gear box and if so, did you fit it correctly?

Where did you get this motor?
The pdf file is placed on a server where they sell refrigeration stuff, so itøs probably an employee or a family member that sells the motors privately. Have you got a link to where you got it?
