so basicly what title says whats a good chassi made out of and what shape..and whether to have tracks or wheels...i will need it to go oer rocks terrain such as pebbles..so lots of traction
-
a "good chassis" for me is a chassis that is strong and can be dropped from 3 feet w/o breaking
materials for such as chassis - i would recommend HDPE plastic. Just get it like 1/4" or maybe even 1/2" if you want it really strong
As of shape.... well it doesn't really matter , except a circle has no sharp edges , a cool shape that I use sometimes is an octagon ,lol
Tracks are best for offroad though an all wheel drive car would work fine also. Tracks are the hardest to make, so buy it readymade
-
also tracks create alot of friction when turning so you'll need powerful motors and circuitry

Check out the video in this thread for a new idea instead of wheels / tracks

well with the tracks theres a cheap $20 tank that i can buy or theres wheels for like $5 each...so...yea pretty much even...........so hard to decide... :-[
-
which 20 dollar tank?
also most tanks do not have servos, they have DC motors
while if you use wheels you can use servos
-
umm well i never used servos whats the big difference?
