Title: should i connect both sides of the transistor to the 9v(+) help
Post by: sohailsameja on March 07, 2013, 11:46:33 AM

in the above image only one transistor's collector is connected to the 9v(+terminal) (PRESET JOINT)
shown also in the below picture
(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn236/pratheekn/image030.jpg)

In another picture, shown below it is connected to both sides(I AM NOT SURE PLEASE CONFIRM
(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn236/pratheekn/image029.jpg)

MY QUESTION IS:which is the correct way

P.S THIS IS THE SCHEMATIC BUT HAS ERRORS LIKE THE POTENTIOMETERS EDGESS(WIPERS)ARE NOT CONNECTED IN THE SOLDERING PROCESS BUT RE IN THE SCHEMATICS

That schematic does not seem to have errors, except the arrows on the potentiometers should point in towards the zigzags (symbol error.)
The transistor collectors are all connected to 9V. No other part of the transistors are directly connected to +9V. Is that what you're asking?

yeah,so if i connect one side(one transisitor) the rest wont get power.so i must connect both the sides right?

What do you mean by "side"?

The collectors of all the transistors need to be connected to the 9V supply.

that means that the 3rd picture is true.

Personally, I would try NOT to use the pictures to make your connections, but rather the circuit diagram.

I always find it difficult to use pictures to make connections. You should be able to follow the circuit diagram and make sure the right connections are made.

This is why I always prefer to use a breadboard to prototype my circuit before soldering, to make sure the circuit diagram works.

I have personaly gotten to the point where I do everything in Eagle, do my schematic in Eagle, than make my board and fab it myself.

I find that it is a better learning experience and I understand the circuit much better, and I end up saving time in the long run as well, but I still prototype before fabricating.

Thanks well i checked and its right(acording to the circuit diagram.)
