Title: robot exo-skeletons in District 9
Post by: Admin on August 17, 2009, 11:16:55 AM
I've been seeing the 'no non-humans' posters lately, figured it was mostly hype. But I've been hearing good reviews . . .

Anyway, the robot-i-ness in the trailer has convinced me to go see it ;D

Looks good, might even go ahead and watch it in the cinema. Just gotta wait till the 8th of October before it'll be played in the Netherlands. :(

Robots, aliens, infections all in broad daylight... sweeet.

I'm rather excited about this, although I have mixed feelings about Peter Jackson films. Seems to me like he either hits the concept dead on and makes a great movie (like the LotR movies) or he strays far from the central theme of the story and makes a forgettable one (the remake of King Kong)- BUT that's just my opinion ;) District 9 will be the first movie I will have seen in theaters for quite some time.

Plus that robot exo-skeleton in the trailer does look SO bad-a**!!!  ;D

I saw it a week ago . . . I don't want to say much or it'll spoil it for you . . .

First, the robot was totally like waaaay more awesome than in the trailer! (sorry for the teen speak :P)

Also . . . don't take your kids/wife/gf with you. Amazing original plot and special effects, but a bit too graphic for most people . . .
