I typically buy that kind of thing at Mouser.com
Digikey is another popular option.
Be prepared to be overwhelmed.

I usually pick them up at Fry's. Probably more expensive than Digikey, but no shipping and I get them now.

Sparkfun is reliable as well.
I'd recommend digikey or mouser though, and buy header pins + housings as well. And wire is good, too - I was happy with buying
this
wire, and it should last me quite a few years...
