Title: Confused about Actuator Diagram
Post by: Mastermime on July 11, 2013, 05:39:30 PM
Hello everyone,

I am confused about the diagram below from northerntool.com  I understand how it works.  When the switch is pushed up, the 'up coil' is energized allowing + voltage to flow to the + terminal on the actuator.  The other relay remains normally closed to ground.  And then vice versa for making it move down.

Wouldn't you be directly shorting the battery through the relay when the + terminal is normally closed to ground?  Is there diagram wrong or am I missing something?  :o

Thanks

Yep that helped.  I was getting terminal 30 and 87 mixed up.  Thanks for the reference.
