Title: BSIM robot simulator
Post by: disconnector on October 11, 2009, 12:51:33 AM
Hi all,

I'm reading a great book of behavioral robot pragramming called "Robot Programming - A Practical Guide To Behavior Based Robotics".  So far its excellent and really gets into the meat of how to program a robot to "live" in the real world.

Unfortunately, they reference a java robotics simulator constantly throughout the book called BSIM.  It's supposed to be at www.behaviorbasedprogramming.com (http://www.behaviorbasedprogramming.com) or .net, but its gone.  There's  not even any files on the SourceForge site for the project.

Does anyone know what happened to this software or where I can score a copy?

Thanks!

Disconnector,
Don't feel bad.  I found SoR because I had the same problem you did.  You've probably gone back and looked at the book (Robot Programming by Joseph L. Jones), but the link www.behaviorbasedprogramming.net (http://www.behaviorbasedprogramming.net) was listed as a .com in the edition I have.
Thanks for raising this question.  I found the .net because of it.  And found a great robot forum.
