And give us more details... like the spec of your motor...

l293d can handle upto 600 ma current for each motor...l298 can handle 2 A...u choice depends on the type of motor u use...

Checkout  my tutorial at http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/159 (http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/159)

As you will see L293 is now 'out-of-date' - tutorial gives replacement that is cheaper, pin compatible, and can supply more current.

L293 is dead!!!!!!! Please check the replacement datasheet - you will never suggest L293 again

Tutorial also gives L298 driver

Webbot's tutorial mentions the  SN754410 motor driver, the new one that replaces the 293. I have one and it works great and is easy to use.

Hey I've nothing against the L293(D). Great chip - they just dont make it anymore!

but now they've stopped making it ,and the replacement is pin compatible, cheaper  and provides higher current then hey why not use the SN754410  instead?

cool then....can use the l298 instead but its quite costly for a chip...
