Title: How to make tracks for tracked robots
Post by: dreamrobotics on August 14, 2011, 01:22:59 AM
For some reason, I have a crazy idea about making a tracked robot. But I dont know what materials or place to order the tracks. My friend told me to get it from a snowblower. But that would be alot of money to waste just for a track system. Any ideas?

Bike chain tank treads. You can exchange the half cut PVC in the article for any material of your choice including strips of metal. There have been quite a few modifications to that instructable with people using the same basic idea of chains with some linkage between.
