Z8 Encore from Zilog vs Pics
« on: December 28, 2006, 01:28:40 PM »
I guess I'm kinda new to the robot scene I am working on some stuff now and have been planning on using a Z8 Encore! MCU for my project. Mostly because I understand it. I have had a lot of experiance with it through school. Still have nightmares from those late nights working on my senior electrical engineering design project. Anyway everyone in the hobby robotics world uses pics or a few other MCUs that I have heard of. basically I want to know if I should learn the pic because it has better features then the Encore (which I already own a prototyping board for) Is it a better MCU or an easier to use MCU. I was just curious about the difference.
