Whoever wants to write up an article for this: http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/115

ask questions in this post
http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=4060.msg31909#new

so far:
Here are the articles that were pledged to be written:

1. Line Following - Basic turns, sharp turns, breaks in the line to be written by airman00 ( me )

2. A* Star Pathfinding - to be written by benji

3. Color Sensing - to be written by TrikyNekro

4. Precision gripping - to be written by TrickyNekro

5. Kalman Filtering - to be written by sdk32285

i do urge everybody to write up something about neural networks
the subject seems great and very related to robotics

I just read about them...
Man, It's a very nice idea for robotics!!!
And in general it's very interesting....

But I think a 8bit controller isn't enough...

Have you heard of the ATxmega series... they are very serious but you need at least an STK600 to program them...
the whole concept changes... they are 8bit/16bit... and their max speed is at 32MHz if I'm right... but I assume you can use a 36MHz crystal
to achieve 3 times the speed of USB....

Anyway...
I'll start thinking of them after 3 weeks... ha... then no exams and no school!!!!!

the great thing about neural networlks that it can learn from previous expirements
its a real learning based technology,. conventional AI always sets facts and rules then it can do its job but when it come to neural networks
it has the ability to build its own algorithm (learning)

the thing is pretty hard it aint easy ,, but very much promising ,

in a year i will learn abt neural networks and artificial intelligence coz i got them in my course , wait for that much time thenill write a tutorial

as an addition

simple and interrupt driven uart, simple and interrupt driven adc - by superchiku

i can also write about colour sensing if trickynekro agrees for combine development

I wanted the color sensor for the gripper... so... giving me details and writing the tutorial together
would be very nice indeed!!!

But I haven't finished my exams yet :(, in fact my exams start in 8 days ans some hour from now :P
And last until 31 May...

And I will also include as a tutorial the "driving while battery monitoring"
Since I have all ready have much much info and exp to use in this... (see my tutorial on DS2438Z for instance...)

Combined with a good path finding algorithm it can do miracles as base finding for recharge and so...

Well, guys I won't be seeing you these days due to exams... so... Have a nice time until then and
keep up the working spirit...

Cheers,
