turn $50 Robot into free Oscilloscope

Anyone with programming skills want a challenge? The ATmega8 has ADC that's great for a basic oscilloscope, and figured that it could be really useful to turn your $50 Robot into one for free. Any volunteers on writing up some code and/or a basic tutorial?

Also, if you want to make some $, contact me about making this for the Axon microcontroller.

I just read an article on hackaday.com called "amazingly cheap oscilloscope" (about 5euros)
check it out, it's perfectly applicable for this.

One note though,
I don't agree on calling this an oscilloscope, the sampling rate is waaaay to low for that. I think it's better to call it a data acquisition device or similar.
This would become too complicated for newbs, they could think "why would I pay 500€ for an o-scope when I can make myself for 5€ ?!)

Well, one of those links I found on Hackaday, the one you referenced. :P

It isn't a highspeed oscope I agree, but for those who already have a $50 Robot, or an Axon, its an added bonus/value for *free*
It'll save people the cost of an oscope/multimeter if they don't require anything high precision or professional. I've had this idea for about a year now, just no time to pursue it.
