I am trying to make a robot that tracks a tennis ball, and plan to use OpenCV to track it. However, how do you write the code to track a tennis ball, especially it the tennis ball is constanly moving and changikng depths. If anyone has examples I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Have You tried Google? --> opencv ball tracking (https://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=opencv+ball+tracking&oq=opencv+ball&gs_l=hp.3.0.0l3j0i30.1170.4470.0.5436.11.10.0.1.1.0.166.1097.5j5.10.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.mokkP2c41ZE&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=ff301ef4d48490c5&biw=1280&bih=854) ;D

IUP Image is a better choice for you. You can use it from C or from the Lua programming language.
Dude, this is a nightmare vision of a future world where you are stopped every 5 seconds to give your password and answer questions. Walk 2 steps - a robot stops you - what's your password - how many cornes does a triangle have?
Walk 2 steps more- a robot stops you - what's your password - is our sun a star (yes or no)?
