Title: Simple eight legged robot? what is it?

Hi there people

Ive seen this robot in the real robots magazine and in the readers digest.  Its eight legged (give or take) has very little intelligence which makes it really unpredictable in its behaiviour. Apparentely it can be made quite easily at home and with cheap materials such as calculator parts.  Sorry to be so vague but im very interested in building one of these.

could you scan and post a picture of it... sounds interesting, but I have no idea what you are referring to.

I think he's refering to some octaleged beam bot.

Its likely ill be able to find the magazine at my old house this saturday
Timer chip 555's avatar reminds me of the robot im thinking of.
