What do you guys think about this
http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3053776&cm_mmc=Mercent-_-Google-_-421499-_-3053776&mr:trackingCode=1B64614C-F1EE-DD11-80A9-000423C27502&mr:referralID=NA&bhcd2=1233407193

Its rather small but perfect for small robots and small parts

EDIT: I found a review of it . Makes it seem not worth the buy

The headache with unimats and shopsmiths et al is you have to tear down your lathe to set up the mill.

if you win the lottery, proxxon:

http://www.emachinetool.com/new/catalog/single.cfm?ProductID=717

Sherline: too light for my tastes but check all the links and buy the tabletop machining book:
http://www.sherline.com/
http://www.sherline.com/business.htm ( free and darn well worth it )

For those of us with Nicole Kidman fantasies and truckstop waitress reailities, it's still Harbor Freight.

Yeah that was their main product, but it was geared toward woodworking. I dunno if it would handle things like metal and plastic..Although i could ask him, i'm sure he retained the knowledge

Plastic, definitely. Metal, if you stick to aluminum, yes.

Of course the rpm needs to be different for different materials. Harder the material, slower the rpm and feed rate.
