Title: HS-311 servo?
Post by: maine2 on April 01, 2009, 04:42:03 PM
Okay, I have a question...please be patient with me because I have no experience with this stuff :-[.  I just got the servo's in the mail today for the $50 robot.  I am eager to attempt to the modification but the tutorial says it need to be hooked up to the microcontroller.  So do I need to wait until I put together the little board complete with the ATmega8 AVR and the AVR STK serial port dongle programmer before I can modify?  Is that how they get their power?  Or do they get powered by the 9V battery??  Sorry, I'm just a little confused ???...And thank you all in advance.

First you need to have the microcontroller built, if you do it admins way of modifaction. If you MUST modify now, you can do it the way I do it.

you need 2.2k OHM resistors.

I like doing it this way because it always works. With gluing you could be off a little and mess up.
