hey people,
so i've been hanging out here for a few years.
in that time i've got to know some of you quite well.
so i thought some of you might be interested why i won't be online much over the next year.
my lady and i are setting off on a bit of a trip so i won't have regular internet access for a while.
more details here:

i like the "one day dunk decided to quit work" and the picture that followed :D
it looks like it is going to be an awesome trip!
5th picture down the page... i don't see a harness at all... or any safety ropes... and that looks high ::)
good luck with the climbing and don't fall ;) no seriously... don't.
your presence will greatly be missed mate.
regards,
James.

Hi Dunk,
Small world, I've chatted to you a few times out climbing in Dalkey.
Last time maybe two weeks ago when my mate was leading Jameson 10 and a group of you guys were having fun bottom roping superette (I think) with the light fading.
Also last summer you pointed out a nice hand hold when my gear fell out as I was out laying back on scavenger, (you happpend to be soloing by) much appreciated :)
I'm setting up an Irish robotics club, with the first meeting soon. You should check it out when you get back.
Enjoy your trip!
David

Good luck on your trip! Like the blue hair, lol.

hi Qubix,
small world indeed.
i'll probably see you around if/when i get back.
hey Smash,
yea, that's a few hundred meters above any place that is likely to break your fall but it's all about statistics really.
on an easy climb like that it's unlikely that an experienced climber will fall. moving unroped is an acceptable risk.
anyway, trip going well so far.

"gulp" and here i am thinking falling of the roof at school is scary...
anyway, trip going well so far.
great to hear mate! ;D

May a robot do all the chores and rest your soul.... :-P

:o okay....
but your right, i really enjoy the chat for this! like really getting to know some members by more than just their screen name and a few robots they made.

hey guys,
so i'm back!
well, i've been posting a little for the last month or two anyway as i've had internet access occasionally
but i'm now back at home. (Dublin of all places.)
so in between looking for a job i'll be hanging here a little and working on my DIY radio control system.
anyone know a nice indoor job with no heavy lifting in the DUB area?
dunk.
