I recently ordered a new mcu that I thought was tqfp but I apparently I clicked on the qfn version instead.
Can qfn be soldered by hand? I have a hot air rework station too if that is the only way.

Read this tutorial on using a hot air station to solder QFN: http://www.curiousinventor.com/guides/Surface_Mount_Soldering/QFN (http://www.curiousinventor.com/guides/Surface_Mount_Soldering/QFN). Good luck!

Set the hot air gun to blow as low as possible. Use solder paste, not regular solder.
If the chip blows away, the air is set too high.
If the PCB starts turning black, you're definitely doing it wrong :P
(I hate soldering QFNs, such a pain)

Mouser sent me the correct one (for free!) so I guess this is closed.
