Title: autonomous biped soccer
Post by: Admin on May 06, 2009, 10:24:29 AM
Apparently this is the new robocup soccer. The bipeds are really slow, and tripping over themselves, but they score occasionally. The vids can be a bit boring, so just watch two simultaneously ;D

Looks like they're dancing sometimes 8)

Pretty cool. I think I remember watching a RoboCup video that was much more active...

EDIT: Oops! Not RoboCup. KondoCup Robot soccer, but I don't know if it is autonomous. Here it is:

KondoCup Robot soccer, but I don't know if it is autonomous.
nope not autonomous . . . they have no/few sensors and spend no time 'scanning' for the ball or the opponent.

so are they remote controlled or what? or do they just use their weirdly shaped webcam heads to see?
