I almost finished my first robot and the only thing that stands between me and my mechanical masterpiece is modifying my HS-311 servos. The problem is I've looked at two tutorials and what they say doesn't match!! The first is Admin's http://www.societyofrobots.com/actuators_modifyservo.shtml The second is this one http://www.seattlerobotics.org/guide/servohack.html My problem is that the second one says to replace the potentiometer with resistors and the first one mentions something about it but doesn't tell you how do you have to replace the potentiometer. Which one should I follow?

yep should work, pretty much all servos are the same on the inside.
