Help identifying IC
« on: June 09, 2010, 06:31:11 AM »
Hi All,
I have a robot from a robot kit at home with an unidentifiable IC.
I bought it here:
http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4c0f855d03e7884a2740c0a87e01067f/Product/View/K1233
An oscillator is mounted beside to the chip and the silk screen layer next to it says "XTAL"
Engraved on the oscillator is "4.000"
The chip is 18pin DIP

EM78P156ELP-G
0450A BP4C71  is written on top of the it along with the company logo GMC grid.

Thanks in advance!
And Admin said "Let there be robots!"
And it was good.
