My Servo won't turn off!!!!
« on: March 04, 2011, 09:22:29 AM »
No matter how I program my Axon 640 (that I just received) my servo is always on as soon as I turn on the Axon, no matter what pin I plug it into. How do I fix this?

Hi,

Always on?
Do you mean always running?
If so, does it run regulary or irregulary?
Regards,
Søren

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
Engineering is based on numbers - not adjectives

Are you sure you are putting it on properly, i.e. ground (black) to the outside if you are using an Axon?

Sorry I was very non-descriptive of my problem.

I have a servo motor (Hitec HS-422) that I plug directly into my Axon 640 microcontroller (yes black wire to the outside). The motor deems to receiving direct voltage from the battery(no PWM) because it runs at a steady rate. It runs as if I had plugged the battery directly to the servo. I have been trying to figure this out for hours, turning on/off ports, changing code, and even putting in no code and still the same problem.

Figured it out... The Electrical Engineering department modified all the servos to be straight DC motors. So i was trying to run a DC pmotor off the port. I'm just lucky I didnt fry anything. Thanks anyways.
