Hello all,
I have been very busy with configuring the SRV-1 from surveyor coproration do what my uni wanted it to do and at the same time I have learned much about electronics, embedded systems and robotics in general.
I think the time is ripe now for me to try (emphasize try) and design my own robot. I would like to go for really, really small and I was wondering about the actuators. By looking around I found out that mini servos tend to be unstable. Is there any other actuator other than mini servos which you think can be used in small and lightweight robotics?
I thought of SMA too but, I have never used them before and from what I can see they have many and quite serious problems at the moment.
Any input would be welcomed
