Hi-
New here, my first post. While I'll admit that what I'm trying to build is not a robot, a robot parts supplier is likely what I'm looking for. However, I've been beating my head against the wall trying to find what I thought would be something simple. I hope someone here can help.
I have a small DC motor that I am going to use to rotate a small fiberglass bowl-like object with. I need to mount the object to the motor shaft.
I have a motor with a D shaft:

and I got a couple of these

It's not that great a match though, as the shaft and the bore of the hub aren't the same actual size. So I'm either looking for a good match for this motor shaft, or an equivalent motor/hub setup that'll do the trick. Or, any suggestion about how to attach things to a motor shaft, round or D type, that may be helpful.
If people here are mad that my purpose is not specifically robotics I do apologize, I'm just trying to solve a problem.
Thanks in advance-
RTF

You could either...
A.) Buy a hub that fits your motor...
http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/hubs.html (http://www.robotmarketplace.com/products/hubs.html) Somewhere on that page...
or B.) Buy a bore reducer for the hubs that you have... (Makes the hole on your hub smaller)
http://www.sdp-si.com/web/html/shaftacc.htm (http://www.sdp-si.com/web/html/shaftacc.htm)
Both of those websites are great places to find parts like that.

Thanks, I ordered a hub from robot marketplace. It's not my ideal piece, but certainly a step forward.
