Arm of the Servo Gets Stuck
« on: August 06, 2013, 06:37:45 PM »
Hello! I use a micro servo (Power HD Micro Servo HD-1800A) for my Arduino project. It's for pushing an upstanding book fall on the side. Thing is, as the size/weight of the book increases, the arm will get stuck so it may need more "power" on it. How can I fix that? Thanks a lot

Two options.

One is to use a shorter arm (or move to a hole closer to the center) but that reduces the available movement. So, if that doesn't do the job, you get a more powerful servo.
I get paid to play with robots - can't beat that with a stick.

Find the Torque spec for the servo you have (post a link to the servo you have if you need help).
Then find a servo with a larger torque spec (maybe 3 to 4 times).
