Vista voice recognition help
« on: March 13, 2008, 04:32:49 AM »
Hi

I am new to this brilliant forum and need some help!

I am building a robot that has PC based voice recognition (programmed in VB6), and I got it working great in XP. I then updated to Vista, and I have got major problems with another Microsoft speech application messing up the recognition. I tried changing SPShared with SPInProc, but it did not work, it seems that the other application gets priority and the robot VR completely stops. If I go back to SPShared, then it works sometimes?

Are there any experts here that have solved this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have done embedded voice recognition with the Sensory chipset, a video of which can be see on Youtube:

So I don't have vista (for obviously a good reason) . . . but is there a way to turn off the microsuck voice recognition?

The user airman00 in this forum has experience with it, so he might know.
