Can I use a voltage regulator to knock the voltage down to 6v and still get the 1600mA?

yeah. but the regulator wont be happy supplying servos with electricity. get a switching regulator. much more efficient and wont burn up

Ok, so theres no way around it, all buy a 6v 1600mAh. I have another question, theres a voltage rating for servos, but what about mAh? I know what VDC does already. I've seen 600mAh, 1200mAh, and 2800mAh, (elementery question) how does mAh effect the servos performance?

mah is how long the battery will last.

Oh that makes sense :D (never knew that). Heres a question, if get 12v 1600mAh battery and reduce the voltage to 6v, would i still get 1600mAh?
