Title: Plasma-RX robot for USAR
Post by: Admin on July 31, 2008, 08:12:33 PM
This is a neat robot I saw posted on another robotics forum (http://www.eic.eng.chula.ac.th/forums/general-discussion/plasma-rx-video-version-%E0%B8%95%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%94%E0%B9%81%E0%B8%9B%E0%B8%B0) I occasionally lurk:

Its a 100mb video located on a server in Asia, so I was only getting about 15kbps. They were too lazy to put it on youtube . . . sorry!

A team of 13 students from Chulalongkorn University, in the Engineering Innovator Club, made it for a USAR competition. These guys tend to win the competitions in their area, really impressive stuff :)

I asked them about how they controlled the robot arm . . . they said by dragging a mouse around.

They have made it finally. First place in the competition. Very impressed from their work.
