Get samples from Microchip. That's always quite fun.

Also, don't rapid electronics, rs components or............*groans*.........maplin 'electronics' do any?

Farnell, per chance?

Maplin are stupid. That's why.

If you have any major problems I could help.......or I probably know people who will anyway.

Good searching etc

I love digikey, order from them all the time. Their online search engine is excellent - I almost never look in the paper catalog.

Digikey is the only place I know of where if you need a part, you can have it in your hands the next morning, without paying outrageous shipping fees.

I find that the shipping fees are rediculous. Are we talking about the same digikey?  ;)

I pay $8 (CAD) flat rate shipping. Since I normally order over $100 worth of stuff, its a small percentage. Normally next day shipping costs $30-40.

And not only that, but I'm in a different country!

Digikey has a sweet setup - every day, they take all the Canadian orders, load them into a truck, and then drive a truck to the border. They go through customs, and then (presumably) to Purolator's distribution center in Manitoba. For orders I submit up to about 5:00 pm EST, I get the next morning, typically by 10:00 am.

So, maybe because it's canada. I'll maybe try again in the not too distant future. Their stock is amazing, though. I agree.
