Can I use Remote Controlled Cars to make robots?

Hey.
You can see that I'm new on here forums, so hello.
I'm just asking that can I use Remote Controlled Car to make robot? I have 2x Nikko Power Streak Remote Controlled Cars.

Hi,
Sure you can, a microcontroller "replacing" the R/C-receiver catering for the motors and sensors mounted on the chassis is a good way of learning the basics from.

Yep, this tutorial uses the circuit from an rc car (
http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/284
) and this one uses the full chasis (

).

an r/c car is a great way to start off if you are able to get some good cirucuitry
theoreticaly all you need to do is plug the r/c circuit into a mcu circuit, the $50 board should work
