Title: Laser cut Erector Set adapters Idea
Post by: Asellith on June 17, 2010, 07:41:36 AM
I'm looking into designing some adapters for erector set style kits that will work with various sensors and equipment related to robotics and wanted to see if there was interest and what people would like to see. Right now I plan to make them for the following:

Ez1 Sonar
Hobby Servos
Axon
Omniwheels

basically anything I have laying around I can actually test them on. Arduino stuff is probably a good idea as well. Just wondering what peoples thoughts where. These will be made from plastic so conductivity isn't an issue with the metal erector parts.

Pictures of the concept! The board represents the EZ1's board. The model in the 3d warehouse was not as EXACT as I needed it to be.

I like the Idea. I might try to make a bot chassis out of erector set pieces sometime.

Anyway I would like to see how well this works!

Well I might just have some prototypes to show off...

Mecano is called Erector in US only.
