honestly, without a part number or manufacturer i don't know how you could find this information easily.

My next step would to be:
find out where the motor came from (is it from a vacuum? a saw? etc)
then try looking for data on what it came from.  it may help you find information on the motor.
use the google.  it's your friend.

Well most of the listings for larger motors I have seen are rated in HP you might want to try looking up HP. The conversion is pretty easy 1HP is equivalent to 740W so your 3kw would be roughly 4HP.
