Title: Power supply for servo
Post by: mayur14 on January 09, 2013, 12:48:57 AM
I have 6 servo motors ,each operates at  1 Amp and an smps(http://www.nex-robotics.com/products/robotic-arms-and-grippers/smps-for-dexter-series-robotic-arms.html (http://www.nex-robotics.com/products/robotic-arms-and-grippers/smps-for-dexter-series-robotic-arms.html))   which gives 5v,30Amp of power supply.
How should I connect them..? ,can I connect directly ..?plz suggest ..

It is 25A supply, not 30A. If servos are happy with 5V, then yes, You can connect them directly as supply outputs regulated 5V. Make sure You connect correct wires as this supply is also capable of 12V (according to the website). Measure which MOLEX pin outputs which voltage before connecting.
