Just a friendly reminder that you guys have 4 weeks left (February 25th) to finish your robot and tutorial. Last year's winners started and finished weeks early. If you want my money, get workin now! ;)

And to answer your next question, no, I do not currently have plans to extend the due date.
There will definitely be a 3rd place prize, and maybe a 4th but no promises yet.

Exams is killing me... I'm hoping for an extension to the end of march, it'll be the same deadline as a show and tell thingymajig my computer club is entering
this week is exams, my paypal transaction won't finish for 10 days, and I have no idea when the samples from atmel are going to arrive, the most work i can do is haul a bunch of aluminum angles and flats after exam finishes and get some chassis work done, then i'll be stuck until i have my MCU and other parts

I have to buy a few more (expensive) things for my robot. I don't know if I can make the deadline, but I will try.

I read rule 1 1) Build a neat robot. It could be any kind of robot - a biped, a sumo robot, a sailing robot, or even a flying robot.
My robot is not built from scratch. I'm using a chassis from another robot. Is this going to be a problem for rule 1?

Nope not a problem, any type of robot. Just make sure in your tutorial that you show how you modified the chassis to suit your needs, etc.
